Q: What is Radiesse® used for?

A: Radiesse® is injected under the skin on the back of your hands (not the palms) to add volume to lessen the visibility of veins and tendons in your hands due to loss of fullness.

Q: How does Radiesse® compare to other fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane?

A: Unlike Hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse is composed of calcium-based microspheres that add volume to the area of injection immediately. Part of what makes Radiesse an ideal product for the hands is that it stimulates collagen for long lasting results.  Plus, it is mixed with lidocaine, an anesthetic, which minimizes discomfort.

Q: How long does hand rejuvenation with Radiesse® last?

A: Radiesse produces fairly long lasting results because the medication stimulates collagen production within the skin.  Many patients see results that last for up to one year after treatment.

Q: How much downtime is involved?

A: Like most injectable treatment, there is minimal downtime. Most people can return to normal daily activities right after their treatment session.

Q: Am I a candidate for hand rejuvenation with dermal fillers?

A: The best way to find out if Radiesse® is right for you is by contacting our office at 713-497-1579 to schedule a consultation. During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals and be examined so that you can better understand what results you can achieve.
