This 39-year-old professional woman with her own private practice in Missouri City came to see me just two months before she was set to leave for a family vacation. When she and her husband met with me at my office for a breast augmentation consultation in Houston, TX, she explained that after having three children, she was uncomfortable with the sagging appearance of her breasts. Her goal was to receive a breast enlargement that would help her feel more confident in a bathing suit while on vacation.

Like many women, this breast augmentation patient was not sure about what size breast implants she wanted, but explained that it was essential for her results to appear natural. She also wanted to be able to fit into her work attire after her procedure. I explained that because she had a lot of loose skin and a small upper frame, a high-profile implant would provide the most flattering results. I also noted that her left nipple was slightly higher than the right, and that while this asymmetry is common and is often less noticeable after an augmentation procedure, it would still be present after surgery.

During her procedure, I inserted smooth, round, high-profile saline implants that I filled to 400 cc on each side, increasing this patient's bra size from a 36 A cup to a 36 full C cup. Saline implants are a popular choice with many women because they allow for smaller incisions, which helps minimize the possibility of scarring and creates a smoother result.

This woman had a wonderful vacation after her cosmetic surgery and was pleased to find that she could still fit into her favorite shirts. In her post-operative photos, you can see that her left nipple still rests just a little higher than the right one, but the difference is minimal and the patient is very happy with her new shape, which complements her body beautifully.
