Male Facial Enhancement Case #29

This patient is an active 60 year old retired male from the Heights. He had the energy of a college student and wanted his face to match his youthful energy. He visited my Upper Kirby office in search of surgical options for the eyes and face.

He had hooding of his upper eyes, excess skin on lower eyes with volume loss in his mid-face and the development of nasolabial folds or the “parentheses”. I recommended a surgical eye lift for both his upper and lower eyelids plus the injection of a soft tissue filler to provide a lift to his cheeks and to smooth out the nasolabial folds. I performed a quadrilateral blepharoplasty (an eyelid lift of all four eyelids) to remove excess skin of the upper and lower eyelids. I chose to use Bellafill® to correct the cheeks and folds. Bellafill® is a semi-permanent filler whose results can last 5-10 years. I used the longer lasting filler because I felt like as a man, he wouldn’t want to come back to the office for yearly touch ups, but now he comes in regularly for ongoing facials and chemical peels.
