We’re excited to announce that Nurse Practitioner Melanie Frye, MS, NP-C, is bringing her talents and expertise with injectables and anti-aging treatments to our practice! Melanie holds her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center School of Nursing. While working as a Registered Nurse, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2004, earning a Master of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. She became Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in March of 2005.
In 2007, Melanie underwent training from the Esthetic Skin Institute for BOTOX® injectables and dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, and Radiesse®. During that time, she also received additional certification in the utilization of lasers for hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Since then, Melanie has undergone extensive training for the advanced placement of dermal fillers. In 2010 and again in 2011, Melanie received specialized training alongside top Plastic Surgeons to become one of Houston’s most skilled injectors of the collagen stimulator Sculptra Aesthetic®. Most recently, Melanie has become an expert injector of Kybella®, the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment to reduce fat under the chin.
Melanie also specializes in non-invasive skin care treatments such as SkinPen, which utilizes microneedling to resurface and stimulate collagen production. Melanie specializes in taking a conservative approach to anti-aging, focusing on improving the integrity of the skin and promoting natural results.
A native Houstonian, Melanie is also active in local Advanced Practice Nursing and women’s business organizations. She is an active member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists. She regularly participates in national conferences and enjoys speaking about health-related topics to local organizations.
