This patient is a 23 year-old mother from League City who was about to re-enter the workplace after being on maternity leave. Her breasts had grown very full during the pregnancy, and then deflated shortly after delivery, so she came to my office to discuss the possibility of a Houston breast augmentation procedure to restore her shape. Like many women, she knew she wanted to retain the increased volume that she had experienced during pregnancy, but she was unsure exactly how large she wanted her breasts to be. We talked through a number of different options before settling on an approach that we both felt would meet her needs.

During her pre-surgical consultations, I noted that her right breast was slightly higher than the left, and a bit smaller. I explained to her that this is a fairly normal characteristic, but that I would address the asymmetry during the procedure by filling her implants with different amounts of saline. For many patients with asymmetrical breasts, saline implants offer a number of advantages because they can be filled during surgery to better ensure symmetry. After she selected a smooth, round, moderate-plus profile saline implant at a volume she was happy with, we scheduled her procedure. During her surgery I filled her right implant to 540 cc and her left to 520 cc.

This woman's post-operative photos were taken six weeks following surgery. She is extremely happy with the results of her plastic surgery in Houston and her breasts now have a fuller, more defined and attractive shape. This 5'6' woman went from a 34 B cup to a 34 full D, and she loves the new curves of her breasts.
