Meet Dr. Cash

Houston plastic surgeon, Dr. Camille Cash, describes her feeling about her work as "double satisfaction" when she sees her patients both looking better and feeling better about themselves. "Whether I'm performing breast augmentation or breast reconstruction, my goal is to restore both function and form, and then to witness my patients' spirits take flight. It's a challenge and a privilege for me."

Would you like to meet Dr. Cash and explore what she might do for you? Just request a consultation with her at her downtown or North Houston offices.

Dr. Camille CashDr. Cash is the only female African American plastic surgeon in Houston and the entire state of Texas to be certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. These credentials, combined with her additional roles as wife and mother of three, active church and community member and partner in the new University General Hospital give Dr. Cash the background to connect with a wide variety of people. Her skills in communicating with her patients and understanding their needs drive the growth of her practice, which has largely been by word of mouth.

Raised in Baltimore, Dr. Cash began her educational career at Howard University in Washington, DC, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then relocated to Houston to attend Baylor College of Medicine. Having always enjoyed working with her hands, and, as she puts it, "doing," she knew right away she wanted to be a surgeon. During her plastic surgery rotation, Dr. Cash discovered she had found the right fit. She expresses it in terms of the perfect combinations plastic surgery embodies: artistry with medicine, fine details with the big picture, instant gratification with lasting change, new technologies with tried-and-true standards.

The majority of patients Dr. Cash sees in her Houston plastic surgery practice are women interested in procedures to enhance the breast and contour the body as well as reconstructive surgery. She looks forward to expanding her practice to include more male patients, she says, as more and more men realize they can benefit from plastic surgery just as women do. She has also added more non-invasive options to complement her treatment menu, such as BOTOX Cosmetic, wrinkle fillers and laser hair removal.

Even with a thriving private practice devoted to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in Houston and an active family life, Dr. Cash finds time to devote to causes that are important to her. She is on the board of directors of the Sisters Network, Inc., a group that seeks to make reconstructive surgery more readily available to the underserved minority community. And she gives time to other Houston area organizations such as the Museum of Fine Arts.

Dr. Cash met her husband, Chris Lowe, while attending Baylor. The couple and their three children--Lauren, Kennedy, and Christopher--live in Houston, and Dr. Cash's parents now live in the area as well. Dr. Cash is very happy with her adopted community and says, "We're here to stay."
